-Today's Learning Target: Student's will know what the five themes of geography are and why these themes are important.

-Circle: If you had the whole day to do something with three friends, what would it be?

-Discussion in Circle: What is a learning target? What is the learning target for circles? What is the learning target for today's class period?

-Seating Chart Activity: Finish discussion on physical things that we want and need in our lives.

-Individual Activity: Students will be describing the Oxford Hills area in their own words. They will be talking about the physical environment as well as the people living in it.

-Seating Chart Activity: Students will be working in their groups to create their own make believe country. This country will include natural features, climate, and the types of products that their country will be producing for export. They will then be making a list of items they would need imported.

-Seating Chart Activity: Students will be using their list of items that they need and be categorizing them by where they are produced. Are they produced in Oxford Hills? Maine? USA? World?

-Seating Chart Activity: Students will be working together to name as many regions as they can think of that would exist in the United States.

Seating Chart Activity: Students will be putting together a list of pro's and con's for having seating charts in the classroom.
