Planning a Vacation: Students will be assigned a state of their choosing. After choosing a state, students will be working individually to plan a trip that that state. The rubric for this assignment is on the assignment on Google Classroom.

Circle: What is one thing you didn't know at the beginning of this 50 states unit that you know now? What is the most important lesson you've learned in your life to this point?

Regional Research: Students will be working in groups to research one of the five major regions in the United States. The five regions are the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, & Northwest. For their region, students will be trying to find the following:
-What states are part of this region? (Note some states may vary depending on the source)
-What major cities are in this region? Which state are they in?
-What major natural landmarks are in this region? National parks?
-What is the climate and weather like there?
-What foods are only eaten or come from that region?
-What words and phrases are special to that region?
-What are three fun things to do/places to go in that region?
-What is one really nice hotel you could stay at in that region?
-You should include some images to go along with your presentation. These can be of anything you've talked about from above.

Presentations: Students will be presenting the information they found on their region as a group.

50 States Practice Test: Students will be taking a 50 states practice test to see the progress they have made since the beginning of the unit.
