Tuesday September 3, 2019 & Wednesday September 4, 2019

Learning Target: Students will be working to build a classroom community. Students will be able to identify major landmarks on a map.

Circle: If you could have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Learning Targets: We will be talking about what a learning target is and what impact it has on our classroom.

Birthday Lineup: Students will be attempting to lineup according to their birthdays without talking or writing. They will then attempt to lineup in alphabetical order by last names.

Mapping Pretest: Students will be working individually to complete a pretest over world, regional, and local mapping.

Tower Building: Students will be given toothpicks and marshmallows. In their small groups, students will work together to try and be the group with the tallest free standing tower after 10 minutes.

Reflection: If you had the chance to do the tower building competition again, what would you do differently and why?
